Beach fun on a rainy day

Rainy Days are Fun on Delaware's Seashore

The weatherman calling for rain won’t spoil your time at Massey’s Landing. Here are our top tips for making the most out of rainy days:

Tip 1: Pack for Rain…No Matter the Forecast

Spring and summer RVing or tent camping on the Delaware Seashore can often times mean an unexpected shower (or all-day soaking!), that’s why we say prep for anything with these necessities:

  • Rain Gear
    • Jacket or Poncho
    • Rain boots
    • Umbrella

…and some fun items to pass the time, which may include:

  • Reading Material
    • Books
    • Magazines
  • Games
    • Cards
    • Board Games
  • Musical Instruments
    • Harmonica
    • Ukulele
  • Electronics
    • Tablet
    • Phone
    • Projector

Tip 2: Tap into Your Creative

The first way to make a rainy day fun is to have positive vibes. The second way is getting creative with the activities for the day.

Consider hosting a talent show, planning a scavenger hunt, or orchestrating a board game challenge.

Tip 3: Get to know the Area

Check out Massey’s Landing activities for each month.

In addition to that, get to know the different indoor areas of Massey’s Landing – the picnic shelter, activities pavilion, Happy Jacks, and The Jackspot. These areas can allow your campers some much needed space!
